Radio placement in a 1997 boomerang

I am trying to find a place to mount a radio head unit in my boomerang any suggestions? :(

The factory location on my 1996 Boomerang is vertical thru the dash right in front of the mirror. I don't have a CD unit so I'm not sure how well that would work for playing CD's. We either play the radio or use a MP3 player with a FM modulator.
