I just installed a new head unit that I can connect to via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connects up great and you can control your music from any where in the boat.
snyder,
2 common options. 1 is a bluetooth receiver that can connect to your head-units AUX inputs. 2nd, is to install a remote AUX port on the helm. This puts your music source at your finger tips.
This is what I use.

I have been pretty happy with it. I use my iPhone with it and keep the phone on the driver side. There is a short plug that stays plugged into the front of the head unit.
I do this via Bluetooth, you can use the controls on the captains console to skip/start/stop..
You could also run an aux cable over to the captains console instead of Bluetooth, I have a car mount to hold my phone and have an app that raises the volume higher or lower based on the speed..

I'd probably screw number 2 up, so simple connection to AUX inputs would probably be my option. Anyone have any pictures?
Doesn't your receiver have a iPhone hookup?
