I bought a 2007 XLV about two weeks ago. It had 178 hrs. when I bought it. It has the 325hp Indmar. I went out Saturday afternoon for about 3 hrs. The check engine light came on at some point. I checked all the gauges and they were normal. I had oil pressure, The temp. was between 170 and 180. The boat had plenty of power. We kept boarding a while longer then went home. We went back Sunday afternoon and check engine light was still on. I filled up ballast and pulled up first rider. Went about a quarter mile and noticed that the temp gauge was around 135. The bilge kicked in and I knew somehthing was wrong. I raised hatch and water was spraying out of the larger hose on the right rear (pasenger side) of the boat. I immediately shut the engine off. I never started it again. We were towed in from there. The hose had busted. The motor never did die or go into safe mode. It almost seems as if something was stopped up. Now for the questions: What could have caused this? Do you think maybe a faulty hose? Bad impeller? Do you think my engine is ruined? Please help. Thanks.
