Lake Barkley- need advice

I'm thinking of planning a trip to Lake Barkley next June and I wondered who has been there and whether it's a good lake for water sports. I get the idea from looking at web sites that it's good for fishing but I don't allow fishing poles on the moomba (that's what kayaks are for). Any thoughts are appreciated- nothing better to do on a cold snowy day than plan next summer's outings.

I'd love to claim that all the music and dancing girls on the Moomba scare the walleye away, but in reality it's that hooks, worms, kids, and Moomba vinyl don't belong together. In other news, Lake Barkley looks nice in pictures so I think I'll book it (google images never lies, right?)
