Just think its a cool picture. The snow skiers and former racers on the board should enjoy. Found it when cruising for season appropriate wallpaper for my Mac. Competitor at last year's Beaver Creek, Colorado, Birds of Prey downhill race.

Yes Deerfield, very cool indeed. You need the one from the Herminator in that one Olympics about 11 yrs ago where his one leg is straight over his head while the other leg is carving the turn at like 70 MPH!

Nice! I will be heading up to Snowbird, UT this weekend. Just a 20 minute drive from the valley. On the lift in 35-40 minutes.

Sled - This 2 minute 48 second video includes Herman Maier's Nagano Olympic downhill crash. It's toward the end. I could not find a good still shot but think this is the scene you had in mind. Amazing! - Deerfield

The one I thinking off he actually pulled off and won the race. Although how many races did he enter that he didn't win :)

There's only one picture of me on the slopes in existence and it looks more like a yard sale. Love it but am much better on the softer wetter H2O. Really need to get out west again though. Haven't done that trip since 2001 -- way too long ago. If only I could find a condo.

Kane:
Salt Lake City is so close to the resorts that you can get inexpensive hotel rooms (like Comfort Inn, etc) with a kitchennette and just drive up to a different ski resort every day you are here. If you don't want the drive, you can just park your car at the foot of the mountain and take the bus up. From my house in Draper to the lift at Snowbird, it's about 35 minutes.

That's a dang good idea. Course I need my own bus for my crew.
