Change oil before or after winterize?

Do i need to change the engine oil before i winterize the boat or is it ok if I do it in the spring?

change it before, gets rid of the built up acids that can harm engine bearings etc, and run it after you change it to lube all the internal parts with new oil before storage.......make sense now
