What kind of board are you riding? I just got back into the sport and am currently riding a LF 142 rhythm with LF super suction bindings. I think the board is an 03 model. Probably going to get a new board next season, maybe a slingshot, as I have heard good things about them.

Just switched to a 09 Ronix One with 09 Cell's and loving it. Also have ridden the 09 Ronix Viva and it's a great board as well. You can't go wrong with Ronix boards and boots.

LF Omega 142 for me. Very forgiving and faceplant free. Great intermediate board for the not so daring.

'08 Ronix One 146 with '07 LF Transit bindings. I am trying to upgrade to some '09 Ronix Reliks soon.

I realy like the board for 6'4" 300 pound old man.

I brought new a 08 Ronix Vault 144 and 09 LF Domain bindings in the spring. Dont hear of anyone riding this board but got a good deal, love the bindings. Being an old fart beginner and having fun with it.

Bought a cwb flame and have byrly bindings on it, love the bindings but the board feels really heavy, looked on wakeworld and the ratings say it weigh's he same as an other board but I need to weigh it. it seems really manoverable but air is tough to handle.

I used to have one of the CWB Flame. I couldnt' do anything with it and it felt heavy to me too. I sold it on ebay for twice what I paid. Somebody will want it if you have your eye on another one.

09 CWB Marius foam 140 with 08 Answers

I really like the Marius if you couldn't tell....lol. But they are changing the shape in 2011 I've heard so I might need to find something else or buy up a bunch of this shape...lol

I like the continuous rocker and it's wide and lands nice and soft.

08 CWB Marius Platinum 140 . . . 09 CWB Marius foam 140 . . . buy up a bunch of this shape...lol

I've been known to do that when I find a pair of shoes I really like. Get an extra pair and put them up on the shelf in the closet. Why do they always discontinue the good stuff in order to replace it with something "new" that isn't half as good? What happened to "classic"?

I know what you men...lol.

I'm hoping they do with the Marius what they have done with the Absolute. Which is just give it a different name and graphics.

I don't understand why they have so many old Absolute shape's still? Almost every price point board besides the Faction is an old Absolute shape.

Oh well time will tell.:-|

You wanna practice your faceplants, go get yourself a CWB Flame. My face still hurts and it's been over 2 years.

Remember a lot of these boards you guy's are talking about come with pretty big fins. And big fins catch really easy.

I prefer the small Absolute fins on my Marius. Because with out fins it is wicked loose.

I agree about the fins and that is what I was going to do in the spring, I tried it with no fins... Didn't like that. Cwb flame.

I ride the 09 Ronix one 138 with the 2010 One Bindings. The whole setup is super light. My freind has the Ronix Ibex and I am looking forward to trying it. Only thing about the One board is that it hits pretty hard when going out into the flats with it. That is the only complaint I have with it.

How do you like the 2010 bindings?

I love the bindings. I had the 09 bindings and they started ripping at one of the seams. I think it was because they were a bit to big so when I tightened them down they would crumple and put stress on the seam. Anyway when I took them back they were out of the 09 bindings so they gave me the new stuff. I got a size smaller and did the heat fit and they are great. I can ride all day and not get a foot cramp.

2008 Ronix Ibex 144, Gator Gozalez ct bindings
I was riding a 2006 Liquid Force Team 139 with Sphynx bindings until the beginning of last season. The Ibex has been hard for me to figure out, sometimes I would not get any air other times I would send me straight to the moon. At the end of the season I was confortable with it. Looking forward to next season.

Is the Ibex a 3 stage rocker? If it is that would explain why you would sometimes hit the pop and miss it others.
The team is a continuous rocker and is pretty consistent with the pop. I used to ride the 139 team and liked it.

Hillbilly, it is a 3-stage and that would make sense. I really like the way it rides just need to perfect the pop. The team really is a great board, I dont know why they quit making it.

for the past 3 seasons, i've rode on o'brien natural 139 boards (2006 & 2008 models) with lf shane ct bindings (2007 & 2008 models). board is awesome - huge pop, great tracking, and very fast. bindings were super comfy, but a little heavy.

i just scored a new set up for xmas: 2009 lf watson 138 ltd & lf watson ltd fly bindings. only about 125 days left until i get to try them out.

I have been riding a 08 Slingshot response and love it. Very light weight board. Now if my body would do what it is told then i could be pulling off the killer tricks.

Anybody riding the 08 Ronix Mana? Feedback?
I'm thinking about picking on up at this price. Good deal!

I've rode one. Very neutral board. Tracks well, pop is mid range and controllable. Good board for someone not riding at an advanced level

I've got a few, but I really want to get a Slingshot.

My current boards are:

'08 Liquid Force Axis w/ Ronix One closed toe bindings
'07 Liquid Force Fish w/ '07 Liquid Force Shane open toe bindings
'06 Liquid Force Substance w/ '06 Liquid Force Limited Edition Transit bindings (snow camo!)
...and some Liquid Force wakeskate, can't remember the name, as well as some Hyperlite surfboard...which I can't remember the name of.

I rode the CWB Vibe Sunday...It is a board with some flex(not much) and flat on bottom like the roam but it has bolt on fins. Have I lost you yet...lol. It wasn't a bad experience but definitely different from my Marius . It would kind of kick loose right when I would edge, Just enough to get my attention but never enough to make me crash . I'm going to ride it a few more times to see if I get a good feel for it before it gets passed on to the next guy.

Good to hear that the 10' CWB bindings are as light as advertised.

Currently riding 08' CWB Faction board and bindings. Super comfy hinge bindings, but heavy. Not a fan of the board either. Gonna be my cable park beatdown board.

Also ride more than my Faction a Slingshot Response with D2. I really love the board. Light and softer landings.

Picked up a Jstar Vanity and will see how it rides in the Spring.

I finally broke down and picked me up an 08 slingshot response 145. It is MUCH DIFFERENT than the old school hyperlite rhythm 141 I was riding. I still need a couple more runs on the board before I get comfortable. The first couple of runs were really sketchy with the board trying to slide out from underneath me.

I've never ridden a Slingshot but from the looks of them they look really loose !
I need a little more tracking in my boards due to bad edging :(.

Whatever every gets I hope they enjoy the ride and get glass every where !!!

Like most, I have heard really good things about the slingshot. After my first couple of sets with it I must say I am not to impressed. However, the guy I bought it from told me that he hated the board for the first couple of months he rode it and then he finally figured out its sweet spot. I am getting better pop with the board, but it feels like a slug cutting through the water.
