I have the factory brass prop on my outback. It's a little nicked and dinged from my last season usage. Where is everyone having them "tuned"? My dealer said they can send it out to have it done and it'll take about 2 weeks. I didn't ask at what cost? I think it might be a way for them to sideline my boat and get all the winterization done on others (as I'm looking at snow right now). If it needs to be sent out - I can do that with direction from ALL OF YOU who have been in my shoes............and what's the normal cost of such service?

Thanks!

i am guessing that since they want to send it out, then there are not prop repair people around you. you could look in some of the other regional places and call them about the repair.

i have taken my props to prop doctor in denver, have used a place in Salt Lake City also, but don't remember their name, i will see if i can get it.

could you just ask your dealer who they are sending it to and if they would recommend anyone else?

my $1.25

My friend took his to the prop shop in Vegas. I think the cost was $45.00 to balance.

Thanks guys.........there's a dealer of OJ props in Helena where my boat is getting serviced. I'll call them and see what it costs. A good way to check what my dealer up charges to do it vs. me sending it myself.
Appreciate the info!
