Hello all....I've had a Moomba for a few years but am new to this. I've run across an LSV at a dealer and am not sure about the deal....if anyone has any input on this I'd appreciate it. Here we go....

It's at a new 2008 Mobius LSV (forward bimini; tower spkrs, sub & extra amp; transom remote; dual batteries; appearance package; covers; depth finder; Grav3 ballast; wake plate; perfect pass; prop upgrade; tower mirror; racks). Dealer will sell @ $40k; winterize, store & prep in spring; warranty starts in spring. The season's about over here so I'm leaving it with him.

Does this sound like a fair/good deal or should I be waiting?

Thanks!

That sounds about right to me on an 08 seeing that the dealer in my area wants $44k for an 09 minus the tower speakers/amp/batt.

Thanks all!

Sounds like so far....so good. Gotta think that Lawdog may think it's an OK deal too.....wondering where I am - lol.

Zheet, I doubt Lawdog was tring to snake in on your deal. The pricing of boats is tied to your geographic location . I know we pay a priemum in the Northwest and you can get them cheaper down south. $40,000 for that boat is a great deal in Oregon, but it might not be a great of a deal in Alabama.

I hope you get the boat and enjoy it.:)

HEHEHE....No I wasn't trying to snake in on his deal...I'm actually in the market for an XLV. Just going to point out what RobertJ already said. PM sent as well.

Hi!

Got the email and PM.....and thanks for info. I didn't really think Lawdog was snakin' - that's why I followed it with the lol. (hey, I'm married - gotta bust chops a little where I can....I'm usually on the receiving end).

From what everyone has said and the worksheet from yearround (huge help) I think we're gonna go for it - seems to be a good value and we plan on keeping this one for a while so not really worried about it being an '08.

Good luck with the XLV Lawdog!

I just got a similar deal on an 08 LSV this weekend.....was actually in Lawdog's backyard - close to it anyway.

Now the hard part - wait until Spring! Guess that gives me time to check out everyone's mods and see what I want to (actually what my wife will let me) do.

I/we got it from Bell Marine in No. Webster. That'd kinda be like your back yard - or maybe more like the backyard of someone down the street??

Yeah that's fairly close to me. I wanted to get my boat from there but they dont carry the XLV on hand so I had to go to another dealer in IL to do a test drive. Dont want the IL dealer to do all the work and not get anything in return for it. Still working on the details for the boat though.

We looked at a 2009 LSV at probably the same dealer in IL - Bell seemed to have the better value (& my wife preferred the color). We live in IL & the boat stays in IN - so we were pretty-much 50-50 on where we bought from, but buying closer to where we normally keep the boat was probably better.

Good luck on the XLV.
