Problems with my stereo

My stereo in my moomba is flashing "protect". I jumped in the boat earlier, starting the stereo soon after that. Then about 15 seconds later the music stopped and the stereo screen flashed "protect'. I was wondering if this has happened to any others? and if so how do i go about to fix it?

The Kenwood deck will go into a protect mode if there is a problem. If you killed power to the deck and returned power and you still have the issue then there might be an issue with one of the amps or speakers or the unit its self? Try powering the unit down from the power button on the deck. Also try unplugging all the amps from the deck. If the speakers are powered from the deck and not an amp then you might have to disconnect the speakers.
