So i have a ding in my prop and need to get it fixed or a new prop. I would like to have an extra prop so has anyone found the best prop for the 08 OBV for wakeboarding and some wakesurfing. Every now and again i do put a skier. Any help would be great. I really do not care about top speed since it is a wakeboarding boat.

Acme 14x14.25 hands down.
You will loose top end speed but your holeshot will be incredible. I load up my OBV more than anyone on this forum and I have zero issues getting up to speed with this prop.

this is the size of my prop but i got some nicks in mine due to shallow waters and an unfamiliar area. what is the difference between oj and acme prop?
i talked to moomba and they said since i mainly do wakeboarding to stick with this prop but if another brand is better i'll go that route.

Acme is known to vibrate less than the OJ.

DG, What prop did your OBV 08 come with?
What was your top end speed ?
Old prop
New prop
I have the OJ 13.7 by 17.5 4 blade wake prop , wondering what the difference would be.
thx

My OBV came with the OJ 13x17 3 blade and it was awful. Top speed was 46mph with one person in the boat and no ballast. Top speed on the 14x14.25 is now about 38mph but I could care less. I never go fast because it's just a waste of gas IMO.
The holeshot cannot be compared. I can get up to speed faster with 2400lb of ballast on the 14x14 than I could with 1200lb of ballast on the 13x17.

Same for me as DG. When I took my boat in for 20 hr service, told dealership of the issue and what I thought was a lot of vibration and they switched the OJ for the ACME. No problems since and great performance IMO.

Wolfe, did you go from a 3blade to a 4 blade or a 4 blade to 4 blade. I can understand DG improved hole shot from 3 to blades.
My holeshot is pretty darn good, but i do feel a slight vibration at 8 to 10mph, but i hacve a very small ding in one blade.
That's why all the questions.

oops - I missed that DG went from 3 to 4. I had the 4 blade OJ.

Drew, this vibration your talking about--did you feel/hear it in my boat when you were in it? Now i really wish you had drivin it while i was up there. It just seams loud to me and kinda drives me nuts, but the dealer said this is normall with the upgrade wakeboard prop.
