I am looking to replace my HL 07 Drive Bindings ( slightly to small) with either the ronix one close toe or the oBrien Xenon Open toe. i am looking for comfort as well as stability for an intermediate rider.

Any thoughts or either.

thx

Ronix are getting sick reviews all over the place. Look for the One's.

Make sure you get the right size closed toe. I've heard a lot of people talking about fitment issues on closed toes. I ride opens so I can't comment but make sure you are fitted.

I have the Ronix Ones and I think they are one of the most comfortable bindings out there. Stability wise, I put them somewhere in the middle... not to stiff, not too loose.

I have the new Hyperlite Audio Boots and they are incredible!

I use the Ronix Ones closed toes and they are great. I had to use some boot goo to get them on the first 5 or 6 times, now they slip right one with no goo at all. They are stiff around the foot and ankle but do have some flex to them, when the water was much colder my feet always were warm. =)

Are the closed toe hard to dry out?

Not really, just dump any extra water out of em when you're done riding, then put the board back on the racks with the bindings facing down. I have the 09 one's and no joke, I could unmount them from the board and walk MILES in them. They are very comfortable, not too soft, not too stiff, just right. Try some on at your dealer, but remember, they fit even nicer after they heat-form the liner to your feet. good luck.

I love my new Ronix board and Ronix Frank bindings. They are new, and open toe, super light weight like you would not imagine. They fit a wide range of foot (10 - 14) with comfort, as my brother likes to ride my board and his bindings are broke at the moment, so i opted on the open toe binding. The One's felt great, but size eleven and size twelve, there was only one way for me to go at this time, and it was the Frank bindings. My Franks weigh nearly the same by my holding while I was comparing them. They are also super easy to get out of.

The One binding to me felt like the heel was low, but they came with shims to go in the heal, so I must not have been the only one who felt that way, but they had a nice fitted feel, and no soap was needed in the store to cram my foot in. Went in nice, fit nice, and was an easy off as well, though not as easy as the Frank open toe.
