bertha ballast leak

I've just discovered a leak from my right side ballast drain pump. i can see water shooting into the boat when i turn on the drain pump. Any hints on how to fix. Do i get at it by taking the storage compartment apart? Its a 99 Outback LS.

Doug, I would make an appt. with my local dealer to verify that leak. It is a very tedious task to try and repair or replace any components in that sysyem without knowing removal or install instructions. The servicing dealer should be able to assist you in your situation.

fOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW . THE RULE DISCHARGE PUMP HOUSING SEPARATED. IT TOOK ABOUT 1.5 HRS TO GET THE TANKS OUT OF THE BACK OF THE BOAT. ENVIRINMENTALLY FRIENDLY ANTIFREEZE MUST BE PUMPED INTO THE DISCHARGED PORTS TO ENSURE FREEZING OF THE PUMP HOUSING DOESN'T OCCUR OVER THE WINTER
