Anyone know of a good product to remove road tar from my boat. I was forced to pull the boat down a road they had just seal coated with in the week. Now I have tar all over the front of the boat and on the trailer.

Thanks in advance.

I'd try the goof off stuff. Just don't rub too hard or you'll scratch the gel coat. You may have to use some polishing compound and then rewax when you're done anyway though.

Make sure your boat is good and clean before trying the tar remover.

WD-40 works great. Just spray on and rub off, it is really impressive how well it works.

Acetone, Acetone, and Acetone. It is a boat owners best friend. Wipe on and wipe off. Just try it once on say the nose where the front bow roller leaves its marks or on your rub rail. Just remember you'll did to rewax the gelcoat areas after use.

Goo Gone at Auto Zone works well too. I used it to remove the glue off the factory swim deck pad. Has a nice citrus smell too LOL.
