The boat has started to vibrate or really shutter when putting it in reverse. It does not do it all the time but most of the time, if that makes any sense. There maybe a little vibration when you turn very sharp and give it a little fuel just over idle. Never had any transmissiion issues, other than I've always felt it went into gear "hard" opposed to sliding into gear like other inboards. I've changed the strut bearings and also the transmission fluid. The only other thing I think maybe wrong is the shaft alignment. Discount Inboard Marine seemed to think that may be a cause also. Is anyone familar with checking this? I know you use a feeler gauge but I really don't want to do anything to make it worse or even cause a problem that is not there.

It's worth the trip before you tear something up. You can stop and see the zegms when you're down there.
