I am looking to add a little punch to my tunes and am looking to spend approx 1500. I dont need anything to blow me out of the water but something that will kick up my current stock system (kicker amp 6 speakers). Will this amount get me some tower speakers an extra remote and maybe an amp or two? Any ideas?

Might want to read the thread Stereo Make over. I have a ton of chat about different things i was doing when i wanted to upgrade my system.

For 1500 you can get a lot to be honest.

I got a new Kicker ZX 700.5 amp---225
Kicker ZX 450.2 amp---185
KMT6 Tower speakers--230
Install material---------100
I didnt upgrade my cabin speakers yet.

Now i didnt get top of the line towers and thats where the real money is. Ask yourself this, do i realy want to cabin to rock out? Or do i want the best sounds for my people in the water.

I went with solid amps as a base and a really well rated tower speaker set up to start kept it priced decent and i can always upgrade more later.

I know next year i will want to upgrade the cabin speakers and sub and maybe the tower but if i really like these towers im keeping them. I have the stock KM6 style speakers in my LSV and when i put the 700.5 amp to them they really rock. They are much cleaner then i expected and i actually had to turn the gain and treble down from the old amp settings because these rock out so well.

That Kicker 700.5 is a killer amp for an entire system. And a Kicker Square L-5 for bass and you be stoked.

Money wise
Amp= $250
Sub= $225
Towers KMT6= $250
Wire/Rca's/Breaker= $150
Sub box materials. $50
Beer depending on ability= $25-60
It looks like you would have enough to pick up an EQ Clarion= $75 Or Wetsound 420= $250
The EQ will make the system sound far better and give you more control.

If you have any install q's or sub box construction, I'd be happy to help you out.

I like the beer quote. My specialty is not in electronics, so it looks like my beer tab might be around 100.

Well looks like you have to go with the clarion EQ to afford the beer.
I can help you out. Its a little intimidating at first but once you get your hands on it there is nothing to it.
