Has anyone ever had their tower powder coated? If so results and thoughts would be great.

My previous boat had a PC tower and a bud of mine just had his done. They look good (if done right) and take minimal work to keep looking good, just some wax.

When I first started looking at Moomba I didn't want powder coated, But after seeing ours with the racks and speakers I was in love...

I would do mine again but a black tower doesn't excite me. :(

I had mine done last summer black and have been nothing but happy with it. It holds up very well and was very reasonbable to have done.

Razz, why not do it white?

Hmmm, that might not look so bad. I'll wait until i get my new custom Tower Bimini to make that assessment.

If I may be so bold, how much was it to powder coat your tower? I'm thinking of doing this to my baby.

here in knoxville tn I had several quotes for sandblast and powder coat they ranged anywhere from 135-200. I winded up paying 150 for mine but then again mine is black. I know colors are higher unless they happen to be running a batch of something else say red that day. Hope this helps

Thanx Jason, I appreciate the info. I would be doing Black as well to match the boat and that price seems very reasonable. Now I just have to find someone round here that does it.

P.S. The red Outback with the red tower looks great, that just might be the photo I show my wife to get her to let me do mine :-) Wait a second I almost forgot, I wear the pants in the family :-) Have a good one guys

Love that red tower for sure.

Not sure who wears the pants in my house as I'm never home. I just hope I never run into the guy though!:)

I have an all red LSV should I go with a black powder coat or white on the tower?

Black may get hot to the touch in the summer but it would show better as white tends to blend into the background.

I'd go white, go with the diver down look:)

I'll second that white tower on an all red boat, would look killer with white interior. IMO only i think a black tower would take away from the all red look. But then again i also like the silver tower on all red. :p

Liked this one the first time i saw it.

I think they look better when they match the windshield. That's why I went with black.

The biggest reason for me is i'm switching to a custom bimini from Tower Biminis and it will have a polished billet hardware and would really stand out against a black tower.

that would look sharp!

our dealer has a malibu vtx that's white with dark blue striping and has the illusion x tower powdercoated white. I drool over it every time I see it. wouldn't buy a bu, but it sure is a nice color combination...
