New Ballast Bag

I have a 2007 LSV and I just got a 750 lb fatsac to put in my surf side. I took the old bag out and found theat the quick release valves dont want to come out of the stock bag, so Iordered some new valves. My question is that the hose's look pretty short I don't think that they will fit once I fill the 750 bag up. Has anyone run into this and how did you come up with a fix?

I have the same thing and mine fit..tight.. I think someone else on here RE routed the house to get a little extra length on it..

Timbuck, ok, what ya want to do is...

Take the hose going to your balast bag -undue it at the valve-right above the v-drive and swap it with another valve that is closer-you should gain the xtra length needed, then just take the electrical connection for the solinoid at the valve and swap them the same as the hoses you just swapped and your switch panel will still work the correct bag.

Be prepared as filling and emptying that 750lb bag will take a long time-one good thing is that can be corrected with a little effort.

I can now fill my surf bag (750lb) in 5 minutes now with no xtra holes drilled in the boat.

I had the same issues when I upgraded to the 750's as well. A little heat and some visegrips should help you get the valves out. I then put tsunami quick connects on the 400's to use these bags wherever I need to in the boat.

For the hoses, go to the local hardware store and buy some fittings for garden hose repair and a couple feet of tubing. I think the fittings are universal for 3/4 and 5/8. Should be able to do it for under $10 easy.

So, I'm doing the same things, and while what moombadaze suggested will work for one bag, the other side will still be short. My plan was to re route the hose to fill from the front. Anyone see any problems with that?

Tubing that doesn't kink or collapse: go to HD/lowes and in the electrical section, get 3/4" non-mettalic pvc electrical conduit. Its the same tubing in my boat.

The tubing used for sprinkler systems, ponds, and garden hoses would kink around 90 degree bends. The plumbing section should ahve the 3/4" Pvc tube extender.

Have fun. I put a 'Y' valve with a one way flapper valve on my vent line so I can piggyback 2 sacs off one switch and now have 4 bags in my boat on the stock 3-ballast system. Mind you I don't have a moomba boat, but all our systems are mostly the same.
