I guess I have disappeared from this forum for long time but I am still alive... :)

Anyway, me and my friend just upgraded our regular prop to wakeboard prop... ACME 1161... But our cup are little different.... Everything is the same... 13.5 x 16 but the cup isn't, mine is .105 while his is .135. I am not sure if the year of making has to do something with this. His is 2008 and mine is 2006.

I got the recommendation from the guy who works at deltaprop.com while he got his recommendation from our dealership.

Was wondering what's the difference? Thanks!

Based on numbers alone nothing but the cup is different, performance however is a totally different story. Based on a scenario of "he said/she said" between the dealer and the supplier of the prop who knows but i would call Acme direct and ask them. Btw, what boat do you have that uses a 13.50 X 16.00 prop?

I spent alot of time on the phone with ACME and OJ.. It all comes down to balancing the prop to the boat for how you load it, how you ride, the temperature and altitude where you boat at. If I rember correctly the cup allows the prop to slip at certain speeds. Slow speed high rpm the prop slips a little which allows the engine to rev up more when puilling somone out of the water. Once the boat is up to speed in the water the cup no longer slips and the higher pitch will allow more speed. 13 pitch vs 16 pitch Its kind of like having a two speed / or tourque converter.

Hello, I have the acme 537 13.5 x 16 on my 05 lsv . I had to prop down because of the elevation and the engine would not tach out to 5000 rpm. It will tach to 4800 but not much more because of the boat will porpose unless the wake plate is adjusted right. I can load the boat with people , fill all 3 bags and it will pull the boarder up well. The 13.5 x 17.5 oj was too much prop for this elevation. When I go to lake powell , 3600 elevation , I still run the acme prop. This summer I will be at 2800 elevation and will try the oj prop and see what it does. This is what works for my boat. Jim .

I too have the ACME 537 (13.50 x 16.00 1 1/8 .105cup LH) and I love it... Great prop! This is my prop of choice.

Boat: 2006 Moomba V Drive
Engine: 325HP
Ballast: 1,200 lbs.
Elevation: 2600FT.

I also have the ACME 1579 (13.50 x 14.25 1 1/8 .105cup LH) as a back-up and I prefer this when I get to 5000FT. This prop is good too however, top speed is gone if you go to fast it will cavitate.

Would a 14x18R 1 1/8 work on an 07 LSV?? I don't know much about props.

I would make sure it is the correct direction. Props turn right hand and left hand direction. (clockwise and counterclockwise) . My acme prop is #537 13.5 x 16 v L 1 1/8" . Counterclockwise turning makes the boat go forward. Make sure you are replacing it with the correct rotation prop. If in doubt go to the prop or boat dealer . Jim .

Otherwise you have to move the shifter to the other side of the boat and turn it around backwards. Maybe OK if you're left handed (or goofy footed).
