Looking for advice for installing Perko water inlet fitting?

Hello everyone

Searched the forums and haven´t seen much about this.


Do anyone have pics or advice about installing the Perko water inlet fitting?
Any advice or comment would be welcome.

I installed one myself. It is pretty simple, find the location you want to put it ( mine is right befor me strainer in my DD) and cut the intake hose with a hack saw. The only thing that caught me by surprise was a steel coil wire in the intake hose, you may want to have a set of side cutters on hand to cut thru this. Because the perko is 7" or so in length you will have to take the same size section out of the intake hose. Then you put the Perko in place and tighten the hose clamps prefrerably with a socket as you can snug it down tighter than using a slotted screw driver.
