I would die! I hate snow! I was stationed in Maryland and back in January of 2000 I had to put up with hip deep snow for a week. I was going crazy! I don't know how you people up north can put up with all that snow and ice. I love it down south. More then half of the year is nice weather.

Hey, 1LOKMOOMBA - I'd love to have a riding mower like yours. Looks like a Deere? Must be nice. I still push. Too bad about the snow and cold. At the moment I'm at Best Buy killing time while new tires are installed on our Suburban. Sled and I were going to ski tomorrow until the forecast changed to snow and rain. Nothin' to do at this point but wait for the cold weather to make way for spring. Hope you got a kick out of the snow. - Deerfield

I'm not joking! I bet it's as nice in south Texas all winter as it is in the summer up north. Some friends of mine were out on Canyon Lake last week and said the water was nice! For those of you who don't know how we lake in Texas let me fill you in. For most of us, if the water is so cold that we can't be in it with only shorts and a vest then we stay out of it. We have to really want on the water to go out any other way. I didn't make that trip because I was working, but I'm going out in about 5 days. We plan to only need board shorts and comp vests. Now, when it's mid summer and 115 outside ... that's another story. :p

Yah I was on the guadalupe river (flows from canyon lake), on lake dunlap, New
Braunfels Tx. The water was a little cool but was actually warmer than the air temp. The set was great and only had us and the fisherman on the lake. Only used the wet suit twice this yr, and that is mostly b/c of the wind/air temp

Nice boarding, don't let the snow stop you. This was a video we made a few weeks ago on the lake. The water was like glass .......

I imagine some of the landings can be hard though.

Have to agree with that. I'd need some serious padding too.

I'd be happy to do it if I had any snow. HA HA. Supposed to be 79 and mostly sunny on Sat.

I feel you Kane. It's 72 and a clear blue sky today. I would be on the water right now, but the dang wind is blowing 20 -25 MPH. The boat is hooked up and ready to go. If the wind dies this afternoon I'm going to hit the lake. It's 20 minutes from my house to a private lake I can play on so I'll just head there.

You better take up wakesurfing so you have something to do on windy days.

Everything sucks in the wind. Kane, I am taking up wakesurfing. I picked up my boat yesterday and came home. I already had the Gravity III Ballast, but I had the 750# Fat Sacs added. I also got another bag for the front of the boat. I have never tried to wakesurf before so any tips would be great! I picked up a 2009 Ronix Caption surf board when the boat was ready. Marty said it's a good board to learn on so we're going to give it a try.

Kite boarding looks like a blast in the wind-ive done the windsurfing-a little diffacult:rolleyes:

Birdman, check the mods on improving the gravity 3-that 750lb bag takes forever to fill, if you dont want to do that upgrade-get the tsunami pump and use it at the same time and it will help a bunch.

Also for starting out just the 750lb in the rear surf corner and the front bag full at about 9.5-10. mph will give a great wave, if you have the wakeplate put it 3/4 up(bow up)

I just meant that compared to skiing or wakeboarding a little wind doesn't hurt as much when you're only 10 feet behind the boat.

Now that :D I'm looking forward to.

Ok, as I know nothing about wakesurfing and I like to know as much as I can about everything, why/how would you use two boats to wakesurf? Wakesurfing isn't something you see around my parts.

kaneboats

Load up the port side of one and the starboard side of the other. Run the two boats parrallel close enough to create a sweet spot where the two wakes run together. Ride the pipeline! I think there's video of this on here somewhere.
