So I found this on Craigs list in the Phoenix area. I'm not sure if this is this guys regular business or not, but if you were looking to hang on to your boat and needed some help with payments this is an OK idea.

I'm not saying that you won't see some added wear and tear, but if you optiions are getting rid of you boat or renting it out once and a while...well it is your decission of course.

Creative, but I'm bonded to my Moomba.

Me too. I do not think that I can let anyone just take out my boat. Especially if I do not know them. I have a small hand of people that I trust. And I do mean a SMALL hand

Insurance?
YOu'd have to really look into that first!
Not real sure how well a renter would take care of it!
Good idea to help keep your boat though!

Insurance is a good point. Most policies do not cover use when you rent it out. Daze hit on the qualification to drive somebody's Moomba-- if the person's an owner him/her self you got nothing to worry about. Otherwise-- tell them to go rent a MC. LOL.

Come on guys, I'm not saying this is a perfect idea, I just appriciate his thinking outside the box.

I agree, no one drives or has driven my Outback except myself and the mrs. But what if... what if you were gonna have to make a choice. In these economic times any one of us could be next.

Well if it was give up the Moomba or share it I'd have to choose sharing it. Of course I'd offer to drive and give lessons all day. And I'd have to spy on them too.

KB you get it. Let's hope of course it never comes to this, but you have to keep on open mind.

If it wasn't for the insurance part... hell I'd do it! I'd miss a weekend on my boat for the payment to be paid for that month plus more any day! I would just have to know that it was insured and have some type of security deposit for other stuff that could happen.
