You guys get all the good stuff. I got a tiny yellow Indmar bag with a band aid, gauze, alcohol wipe, and a pair of plastic tweezers.

tazz,
it must be a shipping issue, those goody bags can't go past the mississippi river? i got the same indmar thing as you (thank indmar, we have used the bandaids). i think i have filled out all the surveys, even gave honest answers. maybe that was the problem.

I got the same exact package on my doorstep the other day. Natalie was nice enough to send me one as i didn't recieve one on the first round last year. The front license plate thingy is useless in Cali as they ticket you for that. I'll hang it somewhere i guess. ;)

Do like Jmvotto and trade it to somebody in FL. I sent him a Tampa Jam shirt for giving me his. Throw and ad on the classified stating you'll accept interesting trades. Never know what cool Moomba stuff you might get.

They must have sent them all out at the same time. I got the same package earlier this week. Nothing like unexpected goodies.

Yessir, I did. I submitted it online.

jester

The only problem i have on not getting a goody bag is that on the bottom of the survey it says i will be getting one. I like to take people at their word. If they did not say that it would be one thing but give people the idea of a goody bag is another.

Humm i only won a Rockstar hat at the Portland jamboree so that is making me think if you win anything at a jamboree no matter the cost you dont get a goody bag.

I hate the Bratz stuff too. For some reason those dolls all remind me of Rosie Perez whom I can't stand. (Although I should mention she is actually becoming quite a philanthropist lately).

Actually I didn't say trailer trash. I think it was more like those Bratz are skanky hos.

What really sucks is that i'll probably never meet any of you at a jamboree. :( i just can't justify towing 1,000 miles plus for a boat gig, especially now! What really, really sucks is that i always thought that they'd be really cool to attend, oh well. :(

You'd be surprised how business and personal travel puts different people in different places. This year I go to Chicago, Seattle, Providence, Austin and Tampa for business. I know Sled travels all the time. Moombadaze will be in Michigan and usually ends up in Washington too. Everybody comes to FL sooner or later. I'm also trying to figure out how to take a winter trip to Colorado and/or New Mexico. I predict you'll end up meeting a few people on here at some point. I sure hope so anyway. Deerfield offered to meet me for lunch in Chicago-- we could take in some of that deep dish pizza. I just can't work it in because I'll be in the suburbs and have to visit friends and family. Next time I'll find way though.

Kaneboats,

I was supposed to go the Rotterdam this winter but that hasn't happened yet. While I always miss my family on these trips I have to say once I am in Europe I am always facinated and have a great time but usually don't run across water skiers. Now being on this board I know we have a couple from across the Atlantic.

Yep, I always wait in anticipation for a Z tirade when somebody goes and mentions that they got the dang goody bag!

Z - we love ya man! Daze and I are searching garage sales for any Disney character towels we can find. We'll send 'em to you soon.

It's a Z thing. You know middle aged man fantasy over a cartoon character. Personally I'd go with Kim Possible, but to each his own :)

kaneboats
03-13-2009, 02:12 PM
Well, let's see- Ariel is about 16 or so. Kim Possible is also about 16. You guys are in trouble. Now Supergirl is at least 18, right? And Batgirl is about 22, I think.

Personally in our house, we just bought an Wii and it is the 1st game of that sort we've owned. We decideded on the Wii because of the type of games there are to select. My wife has the kids on a strict timer using the game, 20 minutes a day no more. If you get on her wrong side with a smart mouth or fighting with each other say good bye to the 20 minutes. TV in our house is regulated the same way.

And trust me, I don't have any lazy kids. They are very active and are good kids with great skill sets. I think many parents today don't see the job of parenting clearly. Video games and TV are a way to keep the kids out of there hair so they don't have to deal with the problems with really raising children. These same parents are blown away when they find out the little Johnny or Jill are idiots, or end up pregnent.

we have a xbox and playstaion 3, both were christmas gifts from other family members to us and both have not been used in the last 6 months. Daughter has a gameboy that is very rarely used-mostly used for day long road trips.

one thing that drives me nuts is when a van pulls in for service and the kids are watching a movie and then have a hissy fit that it got turned off--kids were only in the van for 10-15 minutes to get to our shop--sad

oo this one is taking me back to growing up and never watching TV. It is not that i had a time limit on the TV it is that we were outside all the time playing with friends. Now a days parents use the TV for a nany. There is a lot more to life then a TV show or game.

Just haven't seen anything much worthwhile to throw my 3 cents into! I find myself playing Mafia wars on facebook with the free time I have on the computer now. To get back to the thread never seen a survey, never seen a goodie bag so I will probably cease all future post on this particular thread.

Yeah Trixie was cute!
