Outback surf setup?

What do you guys who surf behind an Outback use and how is your setup? I've done many different setups, just trying to see if anyone has it dialed in already. A LSV or 09 Outback V isn't in the budget right now, so have to make do with the 07.

I may try an experiment with beer on tap as part of the ballast system. This would be a further evolution of the Grillobius.

how about a keg in the rear locker?
after a long day on the lake, it should be empty allowing you to get up on plane to head back to the ramp..

TL7, Ed's advise is right on for a direct drive outback-just make sure its not to wavey out-the surf side rear rub rail will be about 2 inch's above the water

I used to use 800 along the rear and 600 on the surf side. Worked real well.

I think I'm going to be able to get pretty close. I can put a 400 in the back and a 450 in front of the back seat. I can put the other 450 on the surf side. I can supplement these with an assortment of bodies that add another 250 or so (or my brother who's 250 by himself). I can move these around a little to dial it in. Then I'll assign permanent seats for surfing time. I also have two small bags that are probably 80 to 100 or so that can be used if I'm ever short bodies-- not usually a problem around my water though.

Sled, when are you heading down this way? We're shooting for a little get togethere on 2/14. Not sure if you can get away then. Warning to all potential attendees. I am pretty sure the Daytona 500 is on the 15th.
