What is the difference?????

I went online to purchase new Tsunami 1200 pumps for my upgraded Ballast System. Now I came across two, so I think, different pumps, one is call the Aereator and the Ballast Pump. What is the difference if any?

One other question. Why is the pump kit with the hose $60.00 more than the pump without the Hose?

Well if you were buying a pump for a bass boat or more likely an offshore boat an aerator might make more sense! :D But you know next summer I might just drop a line off the LS!

I would imagine with all the livewell, fresh water, raw water pumps already out there there would be no reason to come up a newly designed pump for ballast bags. I believe that maybe a sticker change on an existing design would be all you would see.

I just got my new pumps in. I have already taken apart my sprinkler system. HAHAHA. I just need the intakes now. I ordered two more. I will be using the existing 3/4" for the front ballast. I am ordering two 1" scoops for the rear ballast. I am going to try something with the bags in the rear. I want two 400 lb bags with a shut off valve. That way, I can turn the valve and fill the second tank on that side if anyone wants to surf. We tried this with a bag that my brother-in-law lent me went we went out last. Awesome surfing wave. I will post pictures as soon as I start the new install.

Not really. I am removing my old 500GPH pump with the sprinkler valve system for the 3 bags and replacing everything with 3 1200GPH Tsunami pumps and adding two more intakes. Wanted to go with the Jasco pumps. A bit expensive right now. I just wanted more wakeboarding time and less time waiting for the tanks to fill.

Yes. I have been searching for the items that I need. I already have the pumps. Just ordered the third on Saturday. I found the a websight for the brass intakes. There are three manufactures to choose from. Perko, Graco, Conbraco. I think I found a manufacturer that can make a 1 3/8" to a 1" reducing PVC Threaded coupler. When I have everything at my house. I am going to put it together to see how it looks and the placement of the two new pumps. Then I will start drilling. Of course, I will be using the existing intake for one of the pumps. I need to see if I can remove the 3/4" threaded rod. The existing intake goes from 1" to 3/4" . I do not want to have the 3/4" at all. I might even change out all hoses to 1" as well. Have not thought that far yet.

Speaking from a plumbers stand point,is it truely necessary for 1 3/8 to 1'' as 1 3/8 isn;t a common tread size but 1 1/2 to 1'' are. You should be able to use galvanized or brass fittings for this and do a reduction or a fitting that does that for you.You could try a Home depot in plumbing or irrigation parts for this or try going to an actual plumbing wholesaler and hopefully find parts that will work for you. Hope this helps.

I have been to Home Depot, Lowes, and plumbing supply houses. Nobody has the 1 3/8" fitting. Attwood (Tsunami Pump) has a connector that goes from 1 3/8" to 3/4" I am going to call them today to see if they make one for a 1" connection.

I will. I just need a few more paarts to complete the items needed for the project. I will post everything that I purchased and were. I will also post pictures of the assembled unit before it goes in the boat and the location of the holes that I make. The only thing that need to wait is the time it takes to fill up the 400lb bag.
