The local Malibu dealer hosts an annual charity Polar Bear Ski. I don't have a dry suit and I didn't know they'd have loaners, so I didn't bring any of my gear. I'll definately be one of the crazy people that participates next year though!

This was held on Loon Lake (ironically, haha!) in Waterford MI. The air temp was between 18-20, and the water temp was COLD! There were huge chunks of ice floating in the water, I stuck my hand in and deemed it 'f-ing cold!"

Here are a few pics that my dad snapped with his Nikon D70;

All i have to say is poor boat. Guess you would not have to worry about over heating just sucking up a chunk of ice.

Water temp gets pretty warm in the summer, I'd say probably high 70s? The last day I rode was in November and it was like ~50 degrees.

I'm saying the water here in early November was 50. This had to be no more than 34, as large parts were frozen, LOL.
