Hey gang,
I just purchased an '09 LSV and am torn on which cover to choose. I will be keeping the boat in the summer months on a ShoreStation with canvas canopy. I would prefer to use the full Canvas Tonneau Cover but some have said it's a bear to put on while on the boat lift. The snap on covers look and work great but don't cover as much as the full cover it would seem.
My questions:
Snap on cover:
1. has anyone had problems with the snaps rusting/coming off
2. can you put on the snap cockpit cover with the waketower folded down
3. does the snap cover seal well enough to leave the boat for 1-2 weeks on
the lift without much water getting in.
Full tonneau cover
1. is the cover hard to put on while on a lift
2. can you put the cover on with the wake tower collapsed
3. does the cover seal well enough to leave for 1-2 weeks on the lift.
For those of you who store your boats for extended times on lifts, do you collapse the tower or leave it up, if you leave it up does the ShoreStation canopy protect the boat enough?
I know there's alot of questions, but I don't want to make a mistake by getting the snap covers for convenience while sacrificing a good seal and protection.
I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out.
Thanks
Paul
