Not much action on here as we head into the shopping season. Thought I'd see if anyone has anything interesting on their list for Santa (or themselves).

Our holidays are going to be pretty low budget this year. I'm hoping Santa brings me some stereo upgrades and a new ballast pump. For the kids maybe some new bindings and possibly a better pair of beginner skis. That's about all here. Maybe somebody else's list is more interesting?

Well this is a gift to myself, but looks like i am making the jump to a Supra Launch 21V. I am just waiting to see all the boat show prices and also looking at a 08 left over at my dealer. On the list to add to the supra though is a pair of NVS Deviant speakers to install before the spring so hopefully the wife is listening.

Maybe a new/08 HO System 8 waterski as everyone is clearing them out,or a Hood to go with my drysuit so i don't get another ear ache like the last time out.

Hopefully santa will bring us megga stereo equip so we can ROCK ON!

What is a good set up? Does anybody have 6" subs? Are they worth a toot.

I looked into them, I think polk has some on the polk site, the range is not great unless multiples in a box. i ha a 4 RockFosgate 6" in a double isobaric bazooka tube, it was loud ,but that is when i was wee bit younger . i would go with an 8 or 10 i did the polk momo 10" in my OBV07.

Well, I did want an iphone. I love that loop app they show on the commercial where you can see on the map where your family/friends are.

But now I just want to keep my job.

Be sure to check out this ebay seller we have bought a few things from him and he has a good bit of kids bindings and things for fairly cheap.

My Christmas list will probably include a new style of valve for the ballast sytems. Those sprinkler tree valves just do not flow enough water. I will keep you all updated on that project.

I want a new HD camcorder with at least a 60gb built in hard drive. plus maybe new snow skis, bindings, and boots... and yeah I could probably think of about 100 other things for the boat, but I don't like getting boat stuff for Christmas b/c I can't use it til April! So I usually just start buying myself stuff for the boat closer to boating season ;)

Dreaming of a set of speakers and a nice amp for the tower. I don't want to spend the kids college fund on them though. What do you guys suggest? I think I just want two speakers and the amp. Best bang for the buck? Anyone, Bueller??

I bought the cans off ebay and my speakers from Crutchfield. Assembly required but not too tough. It's usually cheaper than going with a package. Don't know where to get cheap amps though.

How big are the cans? (LOL!) I have been looking through Ebay but I have not found any that would be deep enough to provide enough range. I am afraid that if I buy some that are too shallow, the speakers will sound flat.

Next time you come across something like that, shoot me a PM. I definitely want tower speakers, just don't want to spend a month's paycheck on them.

Spend the kids college fund LOL. In this economy, my kid had better be one heck of a football player, or if he gets invited to the US junior TKD team it had better pay dividends!

Like the one father said to his son.

Son you can "go" to College,
You can "go" into the Army,
You can "go" to work.

the key here is "go"

Nobody helped me pay for college, and I made it through! :)
In all seriousness, I will pay for as much as I can. I am lucky that so far, all three of them are straight A students and they are athletic. If I am lucky, I will have one gymnast, 1 soccer player and 1 football player.

GT, I'm with you in that I payed my way. But it was like 5K a year back then not 50 like today.

I'm spending extra money now on my 3 as they are all in private school. The results shown to us from last year, our school versus the 3 local county school systems used as a benchmark was stagering. I'm definately getting my monies worth.

Looks like a progamming language where Mrs. Z has a defined "user" husband, friends, coworkers etc. If any of the users had a clue there would be something besides the null set which in this case did not happen. So all of the users defined by Mrs. Z do not have a clue. Am I close?

Hmm, if I don't know what it means I'm not a geek. But if I do it means I'm smart, right. Does not compute-- user error.

Yeah, I have been an SQL junky for quite a while now. I am transitioning from Microsoft SQL server to writing Oracle PL/SQL. Here is the shirt I want to order:

Well, Santa made his way past Atlanta and delivered one of the gifts the girls had at the top of their lists. Can't wait to let them give this a try!!!

Thanks Kane.

I was driving Zegm crazy woth questions and he told me to just send an email to the guys at Liquid Force. A guy there named Mike Zimmerman has been great with board suggestions for me and the girls. I don't think Skier's Choice could have chosen a better partner.

The kids look like they can not wait to get out on the water! I bet they were really excited.

I want to know when you are going to start sending out doughnuts from your new Dough-nu matic (left corner of first pic)! I am putting that on my birthday wish list. I have never heard of one!

Jesse,

It's just a short drive from Birmingham to Atlanta, so once I figure this thing out you can come on over and get some! My wife loved getting the mini donuts at the county fair but the vendor stopped coming 2 years ago. I saw this in a JCPenny's ad a few weeks ago and they put it on sale just before Christmas. It's still on sale for $129 and I got FREE shipping.

No wonder Little Z likes visiting his grandmas so much :) Great gift, they should love it. But my question is, if your daughters are anything like my boys, how do you expect to keep them from fighting over that great gift?

Sled - the fight will be to see who stays up! Same with the skis & kneeboard - you ride until you fall then back in the boat.

Guess that's why I'm always driving . . .

See that's the problem on our boat now. My oldest can ski all morning and not even look like he's trying. I make two passes and I feel like a just wrestled an Orangutang for 2 days

kaneboats

That sounds really familiar. I used to drive almost 90 min. to the water just to ski 3x for about 5 min each before I was worn out. That's why I started wakeboarding. Now, with wakeboarding, skiing and soon to be wakesurfing I'll can get my share of runs and not just drive all day. Of course I've got 4-5 other riders even if nobody else comes out with us so it's a challenge anyway. Sometimes I "forget" to bring the tube. Ha ha.
