View Full Version : 'glassin the rear platform

read in another thread about the lip on the bottom of the platform dragging when surfing, and it totally makes sense. not sure about how much of an issue it really is, but the theory makes sense.
anyone thought about fiberglassin the underside so the lip is gone? basically a ramp underneath to allow the water to smoothly flow underneath?

might be an easy winter project and cosmetically really wouldn't have to be too pretty, and just shoot it black?

thoughts?

I read about that too. I thought somebody suggested you could eliminate the lip?

I think, in looking at the design, it's needed to hold the chrome rail on, and for strength in the overall platform. I wouldn't want to remove it, but rather make a "ramp" on the bottom for smoother flow of the water.

Yep I have been thinking the same thing. I am looking at adding led's when I do the the glass work also. Its been bugging me since I read the poast. Not sure if it will help but sure cant hurt..... Just time and $ What is it that B O A T Stands for??
