View Full Version : Great Deals Thread

I think we should use this thread to keep posting good deals that we find on the net, such as the handles on eBay a few weeks back. I know that all of us are usually hunting the same things: ballast bags, bindings, boards, ropes, handles.....

Lets upkeep this thread with links to deals we find on the web that others may be interested in.

Here is the link to the seller that we got the Bantam Carbon handles from. He is posting new items almost every day and has some great prices. He still has a few non-stretch ropes and a ton of boards and bindings at great prices.

Jesse,

You are right, I did. At that price, I bought two for myself, maybe three. You never know when you will run over your rope. And I have two brothers than own boats so I will put one in each of their Christmas stockings :)

ED G - would this be a good beginner board? My wife and nephew want to give this a try. I do also. I have a 2003 supra launch ssv with the gravity III ballast and wakeplate. Should this be enough wait to surf?

The toughest part is knowing what board you want. I think I've only ridden 1 or 2 wakesurfers- one of Moombadaze's and one of EdG's. I want something easy that will take everybody, including big guys but that you can start to learn some moves on too.

How about: O'brien Alias for 179.99 but with 10% "Last Minute" discount (look for the box on the upper left part of the screen for the code to use) it's only $162.

Here's a LF wakesurf rope for $25. It's not hard to make your own but the T handle (or knots only) is considered the safest way to go.

Kaneboats,

I went ahead and got the LF Venture at 5'6" long. Of course MrsZ and little Z weren't happy with me because you know the experts say "it ain't a good board, it ain't related to snot or things that turn green". But the truth is they sure do use it alot without a word from me and they both can go miles or until I run out of room. And neither one of them has made any attempts to order anything else or ask me to. Hummmm... maybe it was a good purchase???

Sure sounds good to me. I'm not at the level where I am shredding anything yet so I'd probably love it.

Ok, I did not want to post this until I received my board to confirm the validity of this post. I bought a new Ronix Ibex 144 for $170 and $27 shipping. It is an 08 version (only difference for 09 is paint job) and in the description it said

"THIS board will have a small cosmetic imperfection that will not effect performance, durability or warranty...hard to see....not a big deal. All minor factory imperfections."

I can only see small flaws in finish when you are looking for them. I also bought a pair of Gator closed toed bindings for $49 with $15 shipping and they are great.

So now another reason can't wait for summer.

P.S. The same vendors also have the board and bindings in different sizes.
