Name that part

After cleaning up the boat from our last outing I found this part laying on the floor on the port side of the engine compartment. I have an 06 LSV with the 325 in it. Can anyone tell me what it is and where it came from?

I am gonna guess the latch on your engine compartment.. it swings over to the lip on the ski pylon...

that is without a doubt the latch for the engine compartment. I found mine loose before it fell off.

heck i just found out this weekend mine is missing also, gonna grab a flash light and go looking under the engine

if i had one, i would agree with 04 and ed, it looks like the engine cover latch.

Bingo! Engine Compartment door latch it is! After scowering the bottom of the boat no luck with the matching nut yet. It is so nice having fellow Moomba owners at the click of button. Thanks guys. Unfortunetly it looks like I've started something here....

I'd put this at the top of Martha's maiden voyage checklist. My latch was MIA after the test drive . . . SC might want to look at a little locktite for this
