I have just purchased 4 tower speakers and a Pyle 4 channel amp, as well as a 5 spot light bar for my Mobius V.

Do i require a 2nd battery to run these?

Or will my current battery be sufficient enough?

Is it possible to charge both while running?

Are there any dangers therein?

Or should i run the amp straight to the 2nd battery , and charge it another way.....say by solar? It would not be used all the time.

If so, does anyone recommend a solar panel type?

You can run a search on this site and get some good help. There's also a very complete discussion of dual batteries here (zegm would be proud):

It might not be required, but will give you a much needed safety net. This is why most guys running bigger stereos have the second battery, just in case floating around listening to tunes kills your cranking battery.

Like sled said, it'd sure be a measure of confidence with that electrical load.

Definitely a safe thing to have two if you run alot without engine on>!
I currently use a product similar to this:

But I spend much time in the boat without the engine running.
This is a backup plan to crank if the batter does run down..
