We have a 10 year old son who really got into wakeboarding this year and are looking for a little help to get him to the next level. I have seen a DVD out there, titled THE BOOK-WAKEBOARDING INSTRUCTIONAL SERIES...Any comments on this one or others you all might have come across? Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks!
Marty

I have only part of The Book- I think the second video. It is fantastic for nailing some of the beginners' tecniques. You can get it on ebay and then re-sell it if you finish with it or don't like it. I've heard some others are also good but I've never heard anyone say The Book wasn't good.

I've heard The Book is good, but I haven't seen any of it yet.

I have Detention 2012 with Shaun Murray and it helped me out a ton, highly reccomended.

Detention 2012 is good and it isn't as expensive as that other DVD.

My 70 year old dad watched the section on getting up and got up on the 4th attempt.

The Book and Detention 2012 are probably the best videos out there. VERY helpful. Some others are Waketrix and Higher education which you can probably find for cheaper.

I have both Detention 2012 and the book.. Like both.. they are different styles..
I would suggest you buy both as you'll pick up different stuff off each one.
You should only need the first 2 in the BOOK series. Detention has 3 discs in the set for $30.

Thanks for all the replies...Now, knowing Kyle Schmid is one of the Skier's Choice Team athletes, I have to stick with the " party line" - I have THE BOOK coming. Thanks, again!
