I am sure that a few of you remember the slalom picture that I posted a while back of my dad free skiing at our lake on his 61st birthday!! He still has three times the style and form than I do. Well below the ski pic from two years ago is what he decided to try on his 63rd birthday on Aug 11. He was very comfortable and by the time he quit giving the speed up signal he was riding at 20 mph on a 55' rope.

P.S. notice the wake. I noticed a few other posts about clean wakes. This also is what it looks like at 20 mph with 1350 lbs of balast wake plate all the way down to flatten. It is really steep just behind the spray. My wake is clean above 18 at any length.

He absolutely amazes me everytime he gets on the water. I hope that I can get my ski form as nice as his. He got up on the wakeboard first try and he ended up riding a good ways before letting go. He did a ton of S-carves befor leeting go and sinking back into the water. He has also become addicted to the knee board. Since the kneeboard has the "handle holder" on it he like it a lot because it does not hurt his shoulders to get started.

Again, he is simply amazing. Thank you for the kind words.....if it were not for him, I would not have turned out to be a water bug. He has played with us on the water since I was a baby and I wish there was a way to pay him back. Those are a lot of memories I would not trade for anything.

Consider yourself lucky to have a dad like that. My dad was moutain biking and broke his collar bone. He has not been able to ski again. Too much pain for him. My dad still boats and floats anytime he can. He is going to be at the Havasu Regada with me and my family.

That's cool! It is great to see I have a lot more years (at 48 years old) of skiing ahead of me!

Let's hear it for Father/Son boating!!!
