I decided it was time to start a new thread due to interest in a get together on the Flint River some time in October. I found out today that the weekend we were targeting, Oct. 17-18, when the kids are off school on Fri., is the weekend of a big bass tournament at the boat basin where we usually launch. Due to the numbers it will be very difficult to use the ramps, camp, etc. We are now looking at either another location or maybe Oct. 11 instead. If anyone has any thoughts, please feel free to share.

That weekend (Sept. 27-28) looks good for me. Anybody else like it? Monty?, Zegms? Maxpowers?, Ed- how about it? Might even draw Bob Wells out for the day.

The zegms are easy. As far as I know we will be available whenever everyone else is. Just say when and we will be there!

We are pretty flexible. Should still warm then. The water gets cool on the Flint pretty quick after a few cool days.

It's on the calendar! We have to wait on T's gymnastics meet schedule before we can confirm.

Pat, thanks, but no.

The Tampa Jamboree made me realise that I really don't care to tow the boat further than a 70 mile radius from Clermont.

You shouldn't need your boat. This is just an easy ride in the Moombamobile.

ok, our campsite has be reserved. looking forward to fun on the river. Going to try for my longest surf ride, figure a river will give me the best chance.

Who else is camping out???

We are probably staying with my parents....They have a house near there too (as well as Sinclair). Apparently lake living is genetic. Let us know everyone's plans with timing so we wont miss anything!

I'd like to go, but I am going to need to be talked into camping when in 30 minutes or less, I can be in my bed! LOL!!! Like camping, but like my bed (AND SHOWER) better.

Ooh, I thought Pat said you guys weren't going to camp. Now you're making me think it's an option.:)

It was really fun camping next to you guys at the Jam, but it took me 4 days to get back to normal when we got home. With the kids' school and work picking up, I don't know if I can handle it. I thought that Kaneboats would try to talk me into it. I am tired just thinking about it.
The kids are off of school tomorrow because of Fay. Which I think is a little over reaction. The maps show it east of here Friday PM. Kids would be home b/4 it gets here, but oh well. I like having them home.

We didn't get the day off here! Is your pool full of crud now Ed? I think that last time a TS or H went through it looked like I was starting an experiment in the pool.

Boy were you right, EdG!
Fay was strange. Usually, TS or H get weaker over land. Fay got more organized. It was crazy.
All is well now. Just hope the sun comes out to dry everything out.

This weekend we sat in the eye of Fay and had it relatively easy, today we are finally getting her tail end. Not as bad as you guys had it but one Big Bad Thunderstorm after another all day today.
