I am always amazed at how wonderful our Moomba boating community can be. I had to go from Alabama to San Francisco/Dublin for two weeks on business. I am sure you all know what it is like to be stuck somewhere from home over a weekend in a hotel by yourself....it's awful and boring!!!
Well, my Saturday was completely the opposite, it was absolutely wonderful!! Byronkoz aka Byron offered me a day on the water with his family which included Jen his girlfriend and their children Nathan, Shane, Ashley, Jessica and their new Franken puppy! I was treated to a day of wake surfing, swimming, wakeboarding and hanging out on a beach. They brought lunch and beer for all of us and showed my one of the best times I have had on the water. Again it amazes me; I can be over 2000 miles from home and can find a friend to spend the day with. His entire family treated me as one of their own and turned a day of sitting in a hotel to a fun filled day on the Delta. Jen, that pasta salad was awesome, I loved the cheese cubes, Jessica was a trooper on the wakeboard after a few HUGE rollers from other boats tripped her up a little, she would just get right back up and board again...the delta better watch out, she's gonna be good! Shane, Nathan and Ashley were some of the most well behaved kids I have ever seen, again an absolute pleasure.
Byron, thanks again for you hospitality, I hope you know how much it meant to me for you and your family to share your day with me.
He just picked up the new puppy that morning and he was a lot of fun too.
