2001 Moomba DD - Gas Vent?

Good day! I have a 2001 Moomba Mobius LS (DD). My question is can anyone tell me about the gas vent. My gas cap does not have a vent, but there is a vent hole on the left side of the boat near the rear that will spew gas if I over fill during gas fill-up. Is this the gas vent? Also, the vent I am asking about sticks out about a 1/4 inch and is threaded (Male). Should it have a cap or cover? Your help is greatly appreciated!

Yes that is the vent. I have the same boat. I would recommend that you call your dealer and try to get a replacement vent to allow your tank to vent from the fill spout. I have had tons of trouble will getting water in my tank when I load the boat up with a lot of weight for boarding. I have also noticed it gets hit with a lot of water when driving through chop which most likely forces water into the tank.

Not at the moment, my dealer just said they would send one my way. When I get it in i will let you know. Should be tomorrow.
