So its not my boat, but i did introduce them to wakesurfing...and i bought the board, I tried wakesurfing once last year behind a 06 X2 stock ballast, never really got any slack, this year the LSV with stock ballast is working well, this is the third session this year, you could call it, about the 12th time ever.

I'm about 6'1" the wake is a little above knee high, i think we should get the 750 lb rear sacs to make the wake bigger, but also i hear adding weight to the front lengthens the pocket ? How much weight ? 2 people ?

I got back kind of far once and made it back, its near the end of the first video, just before i try to half ass paddle back in.

I'm trying to feel the acceleration needed to do the little turns, accel forward then turn and accel again. I think the pocket should be longer though. It seems very short.

The vids arent that exciting, but had some good times and wanted to share.
Any tips for the boat wave ? For me ?

Thanks

How many people in the boat and what was the wakeplate set at?

To me it seemed faster than 10mph but maybe that's the video.

I think we were going about 10 or 11 never more than that. There was 6 people in the boat including the driver. No one was sitting in the bow. The start of the videos is right after I get up so yes my weight is back. I can free sued for a while I just lose the pocket when I try turns. That's why I think the wave needs to be longer.

The camara is pointing across the wake. She has her elbows propped on the engine cover. I had the driver speed up only enough to clean the face of the wake. A few tenths slower and the wave gets really frothy. Ill try putting 2 people up front next time and playing with speed. Does the wave face need to be smooth or can it be washy ? I like the idea of one 250 lb sac thrown on top of the stock 400 just for surfing. Cheaper than buying 2 750s.

The wave face should to be smooth. You just need more weight.

Jason, could be the angle of the camera, but it looks like you could have more weight toeside to get up on the wakeside edge of the board. Getting that wakeside edge carving will give you more control of position in the wake.

We were in about 16-20 ft of water the lake is only 35ft at its deepest. I'll shoot a vid next time from the swim platform. The wave is quite a bit larger than it looks in the videos. My feet are pretty much centered on the board, but thinking about digging the toeside edge in really helped me free surf. I think i'll pick up a pair of 250 lb sacs and place one in the locker surfside on top of the stock ballast and one in the bow. This should make the wave bigger and longer correct ?

And the weight in the bow should it be centered or surfside ? I dont know when i'll be able to go out next, my sisters fiance owns the boat and he works 2weeks on 2weeks off, hes back next friday but i'm busy the whole weekend.

Thanks for all the help,
