Engine check light

Hi!

We bought a new LSV and done about 10 hrs on it and the engine check light had turned on plus the engine had entered a safety mode. Does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem or do any of you have similar experiences?

sounds like you need to connect to a dealer's computer to read the fault.
If it has entered safety mode, my fear is there is an issue.
If there is no further issue, one way to clear the check engine light is to start the engine cold (in water!) and warm to normal operation temp. Turn off, let cool completely and repeat twice. I am told 3 complete cycles will clear a check light IF there is no continuing fault, but again, If it is in safe mode, something probably really triggered!

Rok, check this thread it worked for me. My OBV did not go into safety mode though. That is a little concerning. I did not have the time to do the three cycles as outback suggest and used the battery sequence first and it seemed to work. No more light and everything is running smooth.
