One other thing....
.
As I was coming out of the back country, I passed a pickup towing what looked like a an '03 or '04 red and white OB. The time was about 2:30 pm and I saw you guys on NC-28 (or US-28) down in the 4-lane section. You were going North(west), me South(east). I threw my hand up and gave woohooo, but don't know if you saw me.
.
I was gonna chase you down, but figgered you'd think I was some insane biker dude with a problem.......that's funny right there!!
.
You were that close to meeting the Butta!

I took Memorial weekend and went dirt bike riding on a new KTM. The water doesn't get nice enough to ski (I'm a wimp) until mid-June.

I moved to FL from Sqan Diego last year and miss roads and scenery like that. Sad really, I am considering the sale of my aprilia SXV. I had some buddies go to the Dragon last weekend, but I felt it was more important to break in the new Outback.

The KTM is a 450EXC-R which is a dual sport. I'd recommend the 530 which is the same bike and engine but with the longer stroke but most places were sold out or they wanted too much. Excellent bike. On my maiden trip I knocked three of the four turn signals off so I've got about $300 of LED lighting coming my way to replace the DOT approved stuff. The nice thing about biking is when the weather is lousy for boating it is usually nice for riding so I don't get too concerned about the weather. Right now it is good bike riding weather. Also, you can go out for the day on two gallons of gas.

Z, this is the new road legal version right. Why would they do this and make the price soooo high. It's almost double the motocross bike. I mean the enduros were fair priced and did just what I want...go dirt bike riding. If I want a street bike I'll buy a street bike.

Nice pics. I was there back in 2001 during the Honda Hoot. Myself and four other guys rode from Fort Worth to Knoxville. I was on a SV650.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but dude, lose the tennis shoes. Get some proper riding boots (and pants, too).

Here's my pic of my bike in front of the same dam:

I know I need boots and britches. I'll show Ma the post and hopefully she'll get the hint. Father's Day is coming up. And me birthday is right around the corner, too!
