Where can I get the 3/4" black plastic thru hull fittings? I can find them in white, stainless, bronze, or whatever. I just can't find the black ones to match the ones that come on our boats. I'm trying to avoid driving to the dealer for them, it's too far away.

Pickle..
2 suggestions... call you dealer and have them mail to you? Most can do that for you..
I understand your Plight.. my nearest dealers are 2-3 hrs away..

Look at Overtons.com at their chrome plated fittings for $4.99 ea.. you can replace them all with chrome for cheap and have a sharp look.. I did a few months ago and am very pleased!

I was considering doing the chrome ones too, I may go that route.

Use the polished stainless fittings not actual chrome as it will pit and rust.

So what size are the thru-hulls on an '07 LSV, 3/4" i guess? I found these and i think i'll put these in to dress it up.

Razzman,

Great find! I contacted the seller and he let me buy 4 of them (thru Ebay) for $38 including shipping. Great deal for stainless.

Thanks,

Al

So I ordered the stainless steel thru hull fittings from Ebay that Razzman suggested earlier in this thread and installed them today (thanks for the find Razzman). I paid $37 for four of 'em including shipping and am very pleased with them. Below are some pics of the install. This is a good project for anyone who does not feel comfortable with more complex upgrades that involve drilling, etc. This is a pretty simple, bolt on modification and looks great. The front fitting is a little hard to get to but doable.

The two pics below show the diffences between the stock plastic ones and the new SS ones. Note that the SS one has a bigger, thicker flange (the part that you see). It has a nice, substantial look and feel to it.

For the rear fittings, you should remove this panel to get easy access to them.

The hose end of the fitting has two grooves in it to allow you to hold it with a screwdriver or something similar while tightening the nut.

Here's a before pic:

And several "after" pics:

I put silicone sealant on the underside of the flange (next to the threads) similar to what the factory did to ensure a watertight seal and red locktite on the threads to ensure they don’t back out.

This is by far the cheapest I’ve seen for stainless thru hull fittings and is not too much more than the chromed plastic ones.

Hope that helps someone.

Al
