Hey man, it's a tough market in Ontario. I got a LSV last September.. But unless your buying new, the wakeboat market in Ontario is harsh.

can i ask your opinion on somthing.
i have a line on a 1999 x-star with 400 hrs.
put a conditional offer on it but before i picked it up (thank god) the tranny blew and they found water in the engine.
they have put a new tranny in and are rebuilding the engine.

the guys i am buying the boat with are a bit gun shy now and are worried we are getting a lemon. i dont know what else could go wrong.

plus the price! (21k) i think its a crazy deal still.

any thoughts??

You think 21k for a 8 yr old boat with mechanical issues and 400hrs is a good deal? Definately look south of the border, it will be worth the effort.

I'm sure I saw your boat. They had about 20 ready for pickup.

Enjoy your boat. I got my 2007 Outback in August last year and have 25 hours on it. The service at Muskoka Lakes was great.

It is an absolutely fantastic boat.

Hey,
My wife and i bought a cottage on lake joe in muskoka with her brother a couple years ago. Love it.
we own an old prostat 190 now that does the trick but we both have kids now and would like a bit more room hence the bow rider requirement.
getting a bigger wake and a tower are nice adds as well :)

Spyder,
i checked them out, thanks i will keep an eye on them to see if anything comes up.
they have a 1999 malibu v-drive but seems expensive and i dont really know anything about malibu.
What kind of Moomba do you guys think i can realiztically get for 20k?

Laz,

if you're asking me, I live in Milton, but use the boat at my cottage on Papineau Lake (about 20 mins north of Bancroft) The boat never leaves!

lots of Nautiques/Mastercrafts/Moombas popping up on our lake nowadays... more Muskoka money headed our way!! :)

Just as a reference, I sold my 2004 Outback DD w/ no tower and 104 hours for $19k at the end of last season. It was a great boat. I'm sure you would be happy with something similar for the money.

new liquid for tower and new interior. looks nice.
the guy is asking 26K for it which is still a bit to high for us but just wanted to get anyones opinion on this boat and price....
any info is good.

and thanks to everyone for trying to help me find a boat! i appreciate any and all help i can get...

2004 outback has 84 hrs. 7 years newer and 515 less hours four 6k less I think its worth a look probably a no brainer. Nottique a little pricey....

Not that 500 or 600 hrs is bad, but it's not as good as less than 100! Be paitent and you'll find your Moomba with good hrs and your price. Saw one in Ohio last week for 19K blue, looked real nice. Ohio wouldn't be that bad of a drive. Heck I can go from my house in Southern Wisconsin to Markham in about 9 to 10 hrs.

Check autotrader.ca. Thats were I found mine. Just enter the manufacters and you'll find a few in Ontario. There's not a lot to pick from but you'll find a few.

Ouch, you going to pay 35K for a six year old boat with 200 hrs on it.. You do know what 35k gets you in a moomba. Thought the budget was 20K.

15k for name .....
