Hey man, it's a tough market in Ontario. I got a LSV last September.. But unless your buying new, the wakeboat market in Ontario is harsh.

can i ask your opinion on somthing.
i have a line on a 1999 x-star with 400 hrs.
put a conditional offer on it but before i picked it up (thank god) the tranny blew and they found water in the engine.
they have put a new tranny in and are rebuilding the engine.

the guys i am buying the boat with are a bit gun shy now and are worried we are getting a lemon. i dont know what else could go wrong.

plus the price! (21k) i think its a crazy deal still.

any thoughts??

You think 21k for a 8 yr old boat with mechanical issues and 400hrs is a good deal? Definately look south of the border, it will be worth the effort.

Hi. I was at Muskoka Lakes marine today. They have a few used boats for sale. Try them.

Laz, a little off topic... but...

did you see my boat? :) its supposed to be at MuskokaLakesMarine now... 2008 Outback white/brittany blue

picking it up next friday... so excited!

I'm sure I saw your boat. They had about 20 ready for pickup.

Enjoy your boat. I got my 2007 Outback in August last year and have 25 hours on it. The service at Muskoka Lakes was great.

It is an absolutely fantastic boat.

i emailed them and they say they have nothing so that sucks.
I hate how they dont have anything listed online....

Try Buckeye Marine or Paris Marine (Both near the Kawarthas area).. There's another one too, can't think of it off hand.

jmvotto, if you see anything let me know and it would be greatly appreciated. i actually emailed them about a week ago and got a response that said they would let me know but nothing since.

My wife and i bought a cottage on lake joe in muskoka with her brother a couple years ago. Love it.
we own an old prostat 190 now that does the trick but we both have kids now and would like a bit more room hence the bow rider requirement.
getting a bigger wake and a tower are nice adds as well :)

05-06-2008, 09:13 AM
i checked them out, thanks i will keep an eye on them to see if anything comes up.
they have a 1999 malibu v-drive but seems expensive and i dont really know anything about malibu.
What kind of Moomba do you guys think i can realiztically get for 20k?

05-06-2008, 03:05 PM
Roundhere let me know which ones you are interested in. DD or V drive and price I assume is low 20k's

2004 Outback or earlier models around 20k will probaly be you best bet, I looked at a 1999 MC 190 prostar last year DD fo $19,900

if you're asking me, I live in Milton, but use the boat at my cottage on Papineau Lake (about 20 mins north of Bancroft) The boat never leaves!

lots of Nautiques/Mastercrafts/Moombas popping up on our lake nowadays... more Muskoka money headed our way!! :)

05-07-2008, 07:22 AM
Just as a reference, I sold my 2004 Outback DD w/ no tower and 104 hours for $19k at the end of last season. It was a great boat. I'm sure you would be happy with something similar for the money.

05-07-2008, 10:07 AM
I know this is a moomba site but I found a 1997 Nautique Super Sport with 600 hrs.
new liquid for tower and new interior. looks nice.
the guy is asking 26K for it which is still a bit to high for us but just wanted to get anyones opinion on this boat and price....
any info is good.

and thanks to everyone for trying to help me find a boat! i appreciate any and all help i can get...

05-07-2008, 10:06 PM
2004 outback has 84 hrs. 7 years newer and 515 less hours four 6k less I think its worth a look probably a no brainer. Nottique a little pricey....

05-07-2008, 11:11 PM
Not that 500 or 600 hrs is bad, but it's not as good as less than 100! Be paitent and you'll find your Moomba with good hrs and your price. Saw one in Ohio last week for 19K blue, looked real nice. Ohio wouldn't be that bad of a drive. Heck I can go from my house in Southern Wisconsin to Markham in about 9 to 10 hrs.

Check autotrader.ca. Thats were I found mine. Just enter the manufacters and you'll find a few in Ontario. There's not a lot to pick from but you'll find a few.

05-09-2008, 01:50 PM
right now i am working on another mastercraft deal
02 x-7 with 200 hrs.

not a moomba but still a pretty good boat and in this market i will take what i can get.

05-09-2008, 07:56 PM
Man you got it bad for those Master Crafts. Too bad you'll never know the joy and pleasure of owning a Moomba!

05-09-2008, 10:14 PM
Ouch, you going to pay 35K for a six year old boat with 200 hrs on it.. You do know what 35k gets you in a moomba. Thought the budget was 20K.

15k for name .....

05-12-2008, 09:15 AM

Sorry I assumed this was the boat you were looking at since ther is such a shortage of wake boats up north.
