I get the impression we have a lot of car nuts here, as well as ski nuts!
The post about the new Tahoe got me to thinking about my first car.
Not trying to profile anyone just thought it might make an interesting post.

First Car- 1982 Pontiac Grand Prix T-Tops, V6 with a factory 4bbl. LOL thought that was cool as a 15yr motorhead want to be.

Favorite Car- 2002 Corvete Convertible blue w/tan top and interior

First car was a new 73 Ghia. Back then the kids bought their own cars. Fun car but those Iowa winters were tough scraping the inside windshield and using my sister's hairdryer to thaw out the clutch and brake pedels that would freeze stiff when snow got lodged in there.

My first car was a 1999 Jeep Cherokee (I have a feeling that I'm a bit younger than most on here...)

I lowered it, put 17" rims, yada yada, lol.

I think my favorite car is what I've got now, a black Chrysler 300.

First car was a 1967 El Camino with a 283 and a 2 speed power glide handed down from my grandfather. My dad and I restored it and added the SS hood. It was cool to pull up at school and everyone was driving Geos and maximas and I had the Camino.

Favorite car - Dad's 70 SS Chevelle with 396 and 4 speed bought new in 70!

I hate to admit this but as long as I have been on the board I have never posted a photo. Here is a link.
Mind you this goat is not a show car and it is approaching 40 years old. It was my only car for quite a while so it drove in rain, sun, snow and anything ND could throw at her.

69 Camaro FACTORY SS (not a clone) with factory air. Not the original motor but was running a 454. Belive it or not the 5.0 mustang I bought later would still out run it through the 1/4 mile.

1964 Chevy Pickup 250ci inline 6 cylinder with three on the tree (3 speed column shift standard tranny). Bought in 1984 and sold in 1994. Rock solid truck for a teenager, no seat belts but what it didn't go thru it just came to s a stop. Boy I miss that truck.

My first car in HS was a '72 New Port Custom, 2 door hard top. That was also the first boat that I ever owned  It did have some redeeming qualities though... it had a 440 and room in the trunk for all the beer you could ever drink! It could take a school bus load of buddies to any party. I own nothing but trucks now and thats all I really like. My '05 Dodge diesel is my choice. I have over 530 hp at the rear wheels and a lot of custom parts. I lay a dirty beating on the sports cars around town! Cheers

My first car was a run down rusted out beat up '76 Trans Am 400 Ram air. Bought it when I was 14 and a couple months, took till the night before I was 16 to finish the restore on it. The DMV test driver was alittle worried to get in with a 16 year old wanna be. In a fresh restored hot rod.I had drove the car on the runway lots but not on a road intell I took it up to take my test. I guess we were both a little nervous.

I had a 1994 Fiero. Go ahead laugh I would buy another in a second. Loved it I could fix it myself since it loved to break at the most inconvenient times. But I could fix it. And it had the greatest stereo you could get. Guy i sold it to wrote it off :(

Here is a kinda before and after photo of the car that my parents gave me for High School graduation. It’s a 1967 Mustang Coupe. My Dad got this car in 1968 from his boss and gave it to my mom. They finally sold it to my Grandma because she loved it. She said that she liked racing and beating all the kids from stoplight to stop light in Carrolton, TX.

Grandma sold it back to my parents for $500.00 towards the end of my senior year in High School to give to me for Graduation, because she knew I loved this thing!

The photo of the pea green Mustang was when I got married. I had already had it several years and began fixing it up. It started out with a straight six motor with 4-stud wheels. The green one already shows the larger 5-bolt stance, and 9-inch rear end! I swapped the straight six for a 289 Hypo.

The next two are when we finally got it fixed up completely! Some of the stuff it had under the hood were roller rockers, crane cam, headers, high-rise Edlebrock, 850 Holly double pumper, 4-speed top-loader, and two third members to change out to help with drivability! For the highway I had 3:1 gears, and for the street I had the 457’s!
It would scream in an 1/8 mile. The ex-wife hated this thing, because of the low-back bucket seats that would give her whiplash each time I stomped on it without warning her first! I loved it. It made Grandma proud! My Ex started driving it and she would lay rubber everywhere she went. I think she started liking it too!!!!

Our little baby in the two picks is the one that you see flipping in earlier posts! I’m glad that I have remained the same age since these photos!!!! HA!

First car was a 1970 Cougar with a 351. When I was done with it, it would lift the front tires off of the ground. One time right into my Dad's garage, should have put more effort into the brakes and not just the motor

Favorite car was a 1982 Mustang GT 4 speed. Black on black with the big factory sun roof. Slight build up on motor, but no accesories (AC etc), this thing was just fast no if and or buts about it. Never saw a winter, heck couldn't keep it straight in the summer, never mind with smow and ice of Canada

LOL I had one of those in high school too, 1982 Mustang GT 302 with 4spd. I broke three rear ends drag racing, finally put the drivetrain from an '89 GT in it minus the fuel injection. That was a fun car.

Yea at one time I drove a ford, I know it is coming.
