Lake Amistad

Anyone ever been there? Got a trip planned at the end of April.

yep, it's a big lake and gets rough. If you want smooth water go up the Devils river where it meets the lake. The cliffs help block the wind and there's usually not many people down that way. Don't waste your time going past the bend though, it's gets shallow. The water is generally crystal clear and you may see 1 or 2 wakeboarding boats. It's pretty much all fishing out there.

Lake Amistad is great! Great coves and awesome water. We try to make 3 to 4 trips per summer! Devils River is best place for wakeboarding

Hey BW.
I was in Eldorado last weekend chasing turkeys... I usually fly into SanAngelo but flights were too high so I hit San ANt and drove..
do you ride in the reservoir by the airport>? always wondered.. pretty area..
