My dealer isn't quite finished prepping the boat, but I had to stop in and see the new member of the family. There is still ice on the lake, but hopefully with some warmer temps this week I will be able to have it delivered late this week and try it out. The lighting wasn't very good, so the reuben and sandrock color didn't really show up well. Here are some pics of my new pride and joy:

…and the new larger and wider captain’s chair is so comfy! My big arse fits in it just perfect!!!!

I couldn’t live up in the Midwest and northern part of the country! The boating season is just too short!

I like the colors! However, it does remind me of our High School rival football colors!

Great looking ride. I think the Sandrock will be a bit easier to maintain than White! Great looking rig! Good luck with the ice!

Bambam,

It's an LSV.

Nice boat BBJ! As for the grin, they should've warned you about that side affect - it is permanent!!

Nice boat!!!! And after 2 weeks of having our new LS I can say the smile stays, especially when you get to the lake and everyone is saying "thats a pretty boat!" We have people come up to us after we pull it out of the water wanting to look around and inside of it! I might start charging admission to help pay for it!

Ditto on the ice on the water stuff!
Ok so the ice melts in a couple of weeks, what does that leave the water temperature at? What is the highest water temperatures you will see on those lakes up there during the heat of the summer?

Been almost a year and the smile hasn't left my face yet. Everytime I walk by it in the garage I tell it it's almost time. :) Like Z, every time we are putting in or taking out of the water someone comes over to look and ask about it. That's always a good feeling.

Zegm-

I'm not sure about exact water temperatures. I'm usually brave enough to get in the water in early May with a wetsuit. My lake is part of a chain of spring fed lakes, so it never really gets "bath water" warm unless we have a long string of really high temperatures in late summer. You've peaked my curiosity...I'll have to do some research and see what I can find. Thanks for the compliments on the boat.

The main inland lake that I go in (Cass Lake) freezes completely in the winter, and and gets up (over?) 150 feet deep in some places. By mid-summer that lake is bath water warm at the sandbar.

I have a rule, I won't get into the water until the first day of June. Now my kids and wife, different story. Our lake is spring fed and is probably around 65 to 70 right now. During the summer towards the dam it gets around 89 as it is shallow, then you have to go deep to cool off, of course if 12 feet is deep! Or you can head towards the spring where it comes out of the ground and is cooler.
Just wait until you see how many compliments you are going to get!!!!!!

No! no, no! :D That is what I love most ....pulling them!!! Nothing like watching your 8 and 10 year old learn new things!!!! Who knows I made that rule when I lived further North, if it feels warm I might change it now that I want to try some new skis out!

RULEs are made to be broken! I got in in December 8, Feb 8 and March 2 in Mississippi in only a 3/2 wetsuit! You can Do it!

It is still pretty cold in northern Indiana. I would have looked pretty sickly too if I weren't wearing 2 sweatshirts, a jacket, and gloves.

There's a flood watch for most of northern Indiana right now. There was quite a bit of damage this winter from the water being so high then freezing. We had a small boat lift that the ice bent like it was a paperclip. There is rain in the forecast for the next 3 days, so it is only going to get worse.

63F JUMP IN LOL

I wish the lake I get in was that temp right now I would be in and enjoying a great ski. My first day out in about 5 weeks the water will be about 37-40 f and I wont have a wetsuit on.

Of course I wont fall either.

I would also love to hit the water. It's been very windy here in Las Vegas. I live about 40 min from the water. If it's breezy here in the city, then it is blowing out on the water. One time I was out, on someone elses Supra, the winds came up and it was horrible. I felt like we were in the ocean. On the way back in, the mirror bracket broke, and we almost lost the swim step. We hit a mojor wave and my son saw the step come up past the rear deck. We stoped the boat and brought the step back inside. It was hanging on with one screw that had about 3 threads left.

I might get in this weekend if the weather is nice!
