location of registration numbers

Hi. I have a 2007 outback with a blue main panel and a yellow accent.

The registration numbers go at the front, but do they end up on the narrow yellow accent, or lower on the blue main panel?

Most states (or Provinces/Territories in this case) are fairly vague on this. The main goal is that they be visible, ie. well above the water line and at least my state declares a minimum letter height of 3 inches.

I don't think I was clear enough.

My question is if there is enough room in the accent part of the Outback for numbers. I think there may not be and I should get yellow numbers to go on the blue area which is the main panel (blue in my case).

There may be, however, I think there is a limit on how small the registration numbers can be (3" tall in NC). That may be your limiting factor ifn you have the same restriction.

Laz are you trying to get your numbers under the rub rail? 3 inches is pretty standard as I am from Ontario and still keep 2 boats at my mom and dads and have a few boats in WI where I live now and they are all 3 inch numbers. So my suggestion is to just get them cut and play around with them until you get them where you want?

By the way, did you get your new boat drivers license yet? I got mine at the TO boat show, not sure why but I did :lol:

It's maintaining them that's the pain. Easy way to see who has what is to do a spark plug check. Add the total # of spark plugs you need to run everything you have. This includes your vehicles. According to a radio station I listen to in Milwaukee anything less than 50 is shameful :lol:

Well I didn't know I was getting credit for the new Moomba yet! I also forgot my 2 lawnmowers!!! That would put me at 56, now I have to figure out what I can buy so that I can at least tie with you! Luckily we go everywhere in the Jetta TDI (average 41mpg and that is not driving slow) so it is not so bad here. Unless you count the 12 plugs behind the big boat, at least 100 -130 bucks per trip.

Mosquitos?? You would think with this warm weather and all this water around here they would be bad and probably they would but they constantly run these trucks around here spraying toxic fumes to kill them. Now what I did learn about when I moved here from Atlanta 5 years ago is this sort of cool looking little insect called a "Yellow Fly". They will land without your knowledge they will bite the living $&!3 out of you, mostly around your ankles. You will then swell up like nothing you have ever seen. The next day your skin will be raw from the scratching. NO amont of insect repellant effects them. After 2 years your body sort of quits the swelling but the bite still hurts and then itches. They attack in May and the first couple of weeks in June then they seem to go away. They love early mornings and dusk! Incredible bug!
So to start the next round if you get bit by one of these it is worth 5 mosquitos!!!

While canoeing in the boundry waters we ran into on many occasions the "Carnivorus Ankle Snaperous". A well trained and persistant relative of the common house fly. Also seems to have an ankle fetish.
