Alright I plan on buying a moomba this june. My question is what are the key differences in the Mobius XLV and the Outback LSV other than length and amount of people the boat can hold?

I greatly appreciate any help....

Mobius LSV and Outback LSV are same Hull (they d/c the Outback LSV for 2008) Only difference was Mobius LSV came std with Grav 1 ballast and tower, where outback LSV had those as options. If you were going to want them, the package price for the Mobius was better than Outback with added options.
Both are 21'6" and seat 13
The XLV is 23' and seats 16

Maybe you were asking about Outback V? It is 20' 8" and is the Pre 2006 Mobius LSV hull. It is a great hull for wake boarding and surfing, but does not have quite as much freeboard as 2006 -later LSV's.

I had 04 outback first and now have 06 Mobius LSV. Love both.
Good luck shopping! Why wait til June?

the Outback V and Mobius LSV are not even in the same league if you ask me. Compared side by side the differences are vast. Length, beam, weight, features, freeboard, etc etc. The only similarity is the basic floor plan with motor in back and wrap around seating. I think if you got to see both side by side, the differences would be obvious.

Just an opinion 8)

I've got an Outback which I purchased new in '05. I'm looking at trading it in for an '08 Mobius LSV. I'm pretty familiar with the whole Moomba line, but I would appreciate some feedback from any current LSV owners.

thanks

lanceswake,
In September, I switched from an 04 Outback to 06 LSV. LOVE IT. WAY more seating room, way deeper freeboard, grav. III ballast, thicker tower, more storage space, lots more boat.

Way better wake too. Mine has upgraded ballast in rear to 750lb bags. Only use full for surfing....about 1/2 full for wake.

You'll love it. I don't ski so I can't really speak for the ski wake, but with wake plate down, it looks pretty good at ski speed.

GOOD LUCK
