does anyone have a boat buddy on the trailer?
if so, what size? have you had any problems? i have read a few reviews that some pine or what ever breaks or bends. i like the idea of making the loading easier.
any one use the retractable tiedowns? what size type do you have or recommend?
the factory straps seem to be quite a bit more expensive than others, and i heard that they are the same, they just don't say Moomba. i would feel bad about not saying moomba, but not too bad.

As long as you keep the bow eye centered you are fine and it works great.

I use retractable tie downs. Not sure what size but I think they are around 2,000 lbs each.
I could not use a boat buddy very well around here due to steep ramps/low water.. when the water is real low, I have to work it on to the trailer.

thanks for the info, this leads to another questions on the boat buddy, if i get the buddy, do i have to drive the boat all the way on or can i use the crank for the the steep ramp, shallow ramp, or what ever? what are other conditions that prevent the use of buddy. i believe it is a standard on supra.
on the tiedown strap, i guess i should have asked how long are they?

ive had the boat buddy on the last 4 trailers
our routine is the same as Ed discribes--it makes loading a boat on the trailer a work of art
also have the rear retractable straps--there bolted to the trailer so i never forget to "put them on"

thanks for the info.
i picked up the tiedowns today. they only had the smaller buddy in stock. it says it is recommended for boats up to 21' the LSV is 21'6, should i be concerned? what might be different on the larger size? it is only $15 more.

Go with the bigger one, these aren't exactely lite boats compared to other 21 or 22 ft boats
