Bimini Top with Cargo racks built into it.. about a $1600 option... Pretty nice..but pricey.. They give you extra space to store a tube, kneeboard, surfboard or extra wakeboards. They fold back so you can access the equipment, but I believe you cannot fold them up.(you always have a top over you.) Some have mentioned that they like to have a little sun on cooler days..
They look cool.. You can see one on the LSV on the home page..

Welcome to the family btw...

After we decided on the LS my wife spotted the Z-cargo on a LSV. She jumped into the boat and started checking it out. Then she turns to me and said I want this option, I told her it was about 1600 bucks, she said I don't care I want it! It really is awesome and well built, I was impressed! And if you ever have to drag a tube around that's the place to put it.

how big a tube do you carry on that thing? My kids have a super mable that is about the size of a love seat. There is no way that thing will fit up there, will it?

We don't currently have a tube and we don't have the boat yet, but looking at the one at the show you could put a decent size tube up there. It is the top of the bimini which covers the cockpit of the boat. I am sure it would store both of our kids knee boards no problem! When the old tube died I stalled replacing it as with our old closed bow boat it was really a chore to take a tube out with us. It pretty much took up the whole rear of the boat and we would have to return home and put it on the dock if we wanted to do anything else.

zegm - I keep an electric air pump on the boat. That way we never have to go back to the dock. When done with the tubes, deflate, put them away, and go on to the other toys. We were using the air pump at the marina but that got to be a pain. Have two Coleman pumps: 1) DC that runs off the cigarette lighter and 2) AC that runs off the inverter. - Deerfield

deerfield,

That is a great idea! And we actually have a couple of those pumps lying around we just never put 2 + 2 togther. Now what is a good tube that will fly? I have seen pictures of some that if you lean back they are getting up in the air. Actually my 10 year old son wants one. I hope I don't have to do 45mph to do this though? OK I wouldn't mind riding it either if I can pretend I am in a F-15. As far as hitting the bumps and getting tossed that is NOT my cup of tea. Years ago I felt like I broke my back doing that stuff behing a friends I/O. And with our old MasterCraft it is very difficult to initate any good wave tossing action.

Are you talking about those tubes that are designed to lift into the air if you go fast enough?

I think there are quite a few reports of serious injury and death with those things.

Laz,

Thanks for the information I was just talking about 1 to 2 feet off the water I never knew they got to those heights. There is NO WAY I would want my kids up there!!!! And that video!!!!!!!!

This isn't quite the Z bimini but it works well for an "attic." This was the bimini on the older Moombas. The speakers I added since this picture makes it more difficult to carry a tube between the top and the tower. It looks like the Beverly Hillbillies on the water but I don't have to deflate anything. I just leave the bimini on during the summer and cover the bimini and speakers with a blue tarp when on the trailer. When the bimini isn't on the tower, I use the bimini between the motor cover and the transom to keep the boat cover from sagging.

zabooda, I have seen that pic a couple times now, I look at that and it brings me back years to a lake I used to frequent in my younger days! I am going to have to get over there and stay on lake Roosevelt it looks awesome............
